2026 is the postcode for one of the great beaches of the
world, Bondi. This beloved icon is one of Australia’s and the world
most loved stretches of sand. But it’s not just the beach that is
the attraction. The excellent cafes, restaurants, bars and clubs stretch
kilometres back to Bondi Junction. Throw in world-class people watching
and shopping and you have all the makings of the perfect lifestyle or
holiday.
The Bondi coastal walk is a favourite of both locals and travellers. The
spectacular ocean views can be had as you walk south towards Coogee. During
November the "Sculpture by the Sea" open air art exhibition
is displayed along the walk between Bondi to Tamarama. This is just one
of many annual events. The City to Surf fun run in August attracts over
15000 runners for the 14 kms journey from the Sydney CBD to Bondi Beach.
Other annual events include open-air cinema, kite festival, open water
swims and numerous dance parties, the biggest being New Year Eves “Shorething”.
Surrounded by underrated surf beaches with a thriving traveller community
and you have one of the travel hubs of the world.
